SONAR ECLIPSE

Steve Peckman is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer whose musical language grows from a lifelong relationship with woodwinds and a wide-ranging performance background. Playing flute, sax and clarinet from an early age, Steve studied Music Industry at the University of Miami, and later continued his studies in audio engineering and film scoring in New York City. His experience spans orchestral, chamber, jazz, blues, rock, and experimental music, all of which inform his distinctive approach to composition.

Steve’s work explores the space where jazz, modern classical, ambient, electronic, and cinematic music intersect. Woodwinds remain at the center of his sound, but through processing, effects, improvisation, and synthesis they become something beyond their traditional roles. As a film composer, his guiding principle is simple: serve the frame. 

Whether creating music for film, television, or production libraries, Steve builds evocative sonic worlds that are atmospheric, adventurous, and emotionally precise—music rooted in tradition, but always curious about what comes next.
